- How to place an order and Pay?

- How long does it take?

From the day we receive your photos and payment is received, it'll take approximately 14 business days to complete the entire order. (Please keep in mind that Holiday orders and requests for design changes are subject to extended delivery times.)

Within 5-7 business days of receiving your photo/s we will e-mail you a proof of the Art for your approval or modifications. We will not print the Artwork until you have given us the go ahead. Your satisfaction is our number one guarantee.

After we receive your approval the Artwork will ship in about 3-6 business days. You will be notified by email once it ships and you will receive a tracking number.

The duration of the process also depends on how quickly you reply to the proof, and how many color modifications you request (color changes will take 1-2 business day to complete).

- Can I place a priority / rush order?

We offer the option of placing rush orders, some of our portraits can be turned around in 3-7 business days. Let us know the date you require and we will then let you know the rush fees involved. When placing a priority order you will pay a priority design fee to speed up the design process of your proof. Depending on how soon you need to receive the artwork by you may also have to pay a rush shipping fee.

- How do I get my digital photos to you?

Upload them on the website – This is the fastest and easiest way, simply follow the instructions on the page

By Email: You can email your photos to us to: info @ icanvas.co.za. Please note your order number or your full name. Please send the original high resolution file of your photo. You will receive a confirmation email from us once we receive your photo/s.

- How do I send my printed / developed photos?

We recommend that you have your photos scanned and sent electronically (upload or email) since it is much quicker. Scanning can be done at any Photo lab – see the scanning guidelines. Should you prefer to mail in your photos, we will scan them at no extra charge – we strongly recommend that copies are made before sending them to us as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit. Your photograph/artwork will be returned to you with your canvas print.

Please include your order number and full name in your package. Once your photo/s are received we will notify you if the photo's quality is appropriate for the design you have selected.

- How will I see the Art and approve it before it is shipped to me?

Once we’ve received your order, photos and payment we will contact you via email / sms within 5-7 business days. You will be provided with a private link to view your artwork online and approve it or advise of any modifications / colour changes. If you ask for any changes you will receive another design proof in 1-2 business days. We will not complete the Art work until you give us your final approval (by email or by phone). Once approved we will then print / frame and dispatch your order.

- Will you treat two photos with Yourart styles and can I choose the one I like?

If you want to see more than one proof you will have to pay the additional design fee. The price of your artwork already includes one design fee - for one proof in your selected design style. Please keep in mind that all of our designs are hand illustrated by actual artists. Creating each design proof by hand takes several hours due to our high standards and attention to details.

- Can you restore old photos?

Yes! We can remove cracks, scratches and dust specs etc. We can also hand colour old black and white photos – or apply any of our YourArt styles (depending on the quality / resolution of your photos)

- What if my photo is rectangular and I want a square canvas?

No problem! We will crop your picture for you keeping the main feature of the photo as the central focus of the canvas.

MISCELLANEOUS FAQ:

- How do I hang the artwork?

Hanging your artwork couldn't be simpler. The design of our frames means you can rest the piece on a simple nail or screw in your wall. This allows the print to be mounted flat to the wall with no gap at the top. Easy!

- How should I take care of my artwork?

Your portrait should be treated as you would any piece of fine art. Do not position where it will be near direct sunlight or exposed to excessive heat, moisture (steam etc.) or humidity. Do not clean with water, glass cleaner, or any other liquids. Use a soft dust brush or lint-free cloth to gently remove dust only when needed.

Some tips:

- Never use any cleaning fluids on the surface of your print

- Avoid hanging framed prints in places such as cellars or attics, where the humidity may affect the wood

- How long will my artwork last?

All of our portraits are produced using high quality materials and UV resistant inks to guarantee their long life. When treated as instructed, our materials are expected to last up to 100 years so that you can enjoy them with your loved ones for many generations to come. We recommend that you hang your artwork away from direct sunlight although all of our products are treated with a UV resistant process.

- Can I order a custom size?

Sure! Simply email us with the dimensions and we will contact you within one business day with a quote and help you place your custom order.

- Can you create custom designs / art?

Yes! You can commission us to create a unique one-of-a-kind digital artwork. Email us with your ideas, describe them in detail and support with examples if possible. We will then supply you with a quote.


- Can I buy Gift vouchers for a loved one?

- What are the payment options?

Payment for the artwork can be done securely online via Credit Card (Visa and Mastercard) through our payment provider (Setcom.com) or via Bank Transfer:

- Do I have to create an account?

No, not on the icanvas.co.za site – Should you choose to pay via Credit Card you will need to register with Setcom.com. This is a very quick process and you will benefit by being able to pay at a variety of other South African ecommerce sites.

- How are the prints packaged?

Standard stretched / framed artworks are shipped securely in a flat box. Non-stretched or Mounted prints are rolled and shipped in a packing tube.

- Is the surface of the printed canvas sealed or protected in any way?

The printed canvas is sealed (unless otherwise instructed) with two coats of liquid laminate. The finished surface of the canvas has a Satin (semi gloss varnish) finish, as seen on traditional oil paintings. This coating helps enhance the colours of the print, protects the surface from scratching and provides ultraviolet protection (indoor use only, keep out of direct sunlight)
